Leugens over het voedseltekort in Gaza doorprikt (Vincent De Roeck)
De internationale gemeenschap blijft maar volhouden dat het Israëlische optreden in en rond de Gazastrook de voedselbevoorrading van de Palestijnse gebieden in het gedrang gebracht heeft en dat de arme brave Palestijnen in de Gazastrook honger lijden door toedoen van satanbuur Israël, de enige echte schurkenstaat in het Midden-Oosten. De Verenigde Naties zwijgen wel graag over waarom haar "scholen" als wapenopslagplaatsen gebruikt worden, waarom haar ambulances maar al te vaak als transportmiddelen voor terroristen van Hamas dienen, waarom haar beelden geregeld met Photoshop bewerkt worden om de duivel Israël er nog slechter te doen uitkomen en waarom haar materieel en hulpgoederen steevast aangewend worden om raketten te fabriceren om Zuid-Israël te bestoken.
De internationale gemeenschap wordt er ook niet graag aan herinnerd dat het net de Egyptische grensblokkade aan de Sinaï is die de handel tussen de Gazastrook en de buitenwereld bemoeilijkt of dat de vele ziekenhuizen van Ashkelon en Sderot vol liggen met gewonde joodse kinderen. Dit gezegd zijnde, laat ons hier wel duidelijk zijn. Niemand verdient het natuurlijk om honger te moeten lijden in deze tijd van ongeziene welvaart en massale voedseloverschotten. Maar net daar blijkt nu net het schoentje te wringen. De Verenigde Naties liegen immers voortdurend over de situatie en in het hongersnoodverhaal is dat natuurlijk niet anders. Het was de lokale Engelstalige moslimkrant "Palestine Today" die het nieuws voor ons brak en onlangs uitpakte met een serie foto's waarop overvolle Palestijnse markten in Gaza te zien zijn. Beelden zeggen nog altijd meer dan 1,000 woorden.
Deze vijf foto's schetsen mooi de échte situatie in de Gazastrook en aangezien het hier om een Palestijnse bron gaat, zullen toch ook de meest uitgesproken Palestijnenknuffelaars en de grootste Israëlhaters hun ongelijk moeten toegeven. Jullie kunnen trouwens nog tientallen andere foto's op de website van "Palestine Today" terugvinden.

GEORGE GALLOWAY: It’s desperate. If I give you a tiny example only to give you an example, I’m here in quite a nice hotel, except there is no food in the hotel. There’s no food for breakfast, there’s no food for lunch. Now I make that point only to illustrate that if there’s no food in the best hotel in Gaza, imagine what the people are suffering. I’ve watched with my own eyes Palestinian women and girls in the early morning mists on top of garbage heaps, combing through the garbage heaps looking for food. In an Arab Muslim country in 2009 and ’10, it’s a absolutely scandalous situation.

South Gaza, January 8, 2010 (Pal Telegraph)- Following the extensive Israeli attacks across Gaza Strip, Israeli air force launched a number of air raids against the food tunnels with Egypt. Medical sources reported that 2 civilians killed and a number injured in the heavy bombardment.
There are more than 1500 tunnels between Gaza and Egypt that are mainly used for smuggling food as Israelis impose a harsh siege. The tunnels considered to be the key lifeline as the main crossings blocked via Israeli occupation.

Tja, wanneer men een van de oude vrienden/apologisten van Saddam gebruikt als referentie om een oordeel te vellen over een contemporeel probleem (waaromtrent er geen tekort aan gemakkelijk-te-maken obervaties bestaat), dan zou het toch duidelijk moeten zijn hoe stompzinnig (en zelfhatend) anonieme 'nuttige idioten' (van eender welke totalitaire ideologie) wel kunnen zijn.
What's next? De press releases van Hamas, Hezbollah, of Kahmenei himself, als referenties over "voedseltekorten" in Gaza? Als er enig voedseltekort daar zou zijn, en dat is goed mogelijk - Vincent, fotos bewijzen niets op zichzelf - dan zou de echte 'oorzaak' toch duidelijk moeten zijn. Er bestaan vele voedseltekorten in onze wereld, en de oorzaak ligt bijna altijd bij het eigen bestuur (i.e. culturele gedragspatronen). In Gaza is dat niet anders.
In his book "The Culture of Critique", Kevin MacDonald devotes many pages to an analysis of "The Authoritarian Personality", which was written by Adorno. It was part of a series called "Studies in Prejudice," produced by the Frankfurt school, which included titles like "Anti-Semitism and Emotional Disorder."
In addition to ridiculing patriotism and racial identity, the book's purpose was to make every group affiliation sound as if it were a sign of mental disorder and defective "authoritarian personality." All group loyalties, not only to nation and race, but even close family ties are "prejudice."
It is precisely the kind of group loyalty, respect for tradition, and consciousness of differences central to Jewish identity(*) that was described as mental illness in gentiles. As MacDonald explains, the Frankfurt school never criticized or even described Jewish group identity – only that of gentiles: "behavior that is critical to Judaism as a successful group evolutionary strategy is conceptualized as pathological in gentiles."
As Christopher Lasch has written, the book leads to the conclusion that prejudice "could be eradicated only by subjecting the American people to what amounted to collective psychotherapy – by treating them as inmates of an insane asylum."
"Viewed at its most abstract level, a fundamental agenda is thus to influence the European-derived peoples of the United States to view concern about their own demographic and cultural eclipse as irrational and as an indication of psychopathology."
In the same vein, the French-Jewish "deconstructionist" Jacques Derrida wrote:
"The idea behind deconstruction is to deconstruct the workings of strong nation-states with powerful immigration policies, to deconstruct the rhetoric of nationalism, the politics of place, the metaphysics of native land and native tongue... The idea is to disarm the bombs... of identity that nation-states build to defend themselves against the stranger, against Jews and Arabs and immigrants..."
For these Jewish intellectuals, anti-Semitism was also a sign of mental illness.
Needless to say, this project has been successful; anyone opposed to the displacement of whites is routinely treated as a mentally unhinged "hate-monger," and whenever whites defend their group interests they are described as psychologically inadequate. The irony has not escaped Kevin MacDonald: "The ideology that ethnocentrism was a form of psychopathology was promulgated by a group that over its long history had arguably been the most ethnocentric group among all the cultures of the world."
